Organisers of the Southern 100 have amended its practice and race programme to accommodate riders travelling from Ireland's Walderstown meeting. The Irish meeting concludes the day before the opening practice at Billown on Monday, 11 July. Organiser Phil Edge said: "We want to ensure that riders travelling from Southern Ireland have sufficient qualifying time to allow them to race." The Isle of Man meeting will run from 11-14 July. Edge added: "The riders who compete at both will need to catch the Monday evening ferry and would miss the days practice sessions. "With Irish championship points on offer we understand that riders will want to ride at both so we will always try and be flexible." Race secretary George Peach is requesting that all prospective competitors, who are planning to race at both meetings email him (georgepeach@manx.net) to enable the club to ensure they are able to take part in the 2011 Billown event.
