Manx rider David Knight finished runner-up at the second round of the FIM Indoor Enduro World Championship in Barcelona on Sunday. Knight was in Spain to launch KTM's new 350 EXC-F machine and decided to give the bike its first outing at the Palau Sant Jordi arena. "My main goal was to give the bike a successful first outing and I think I did that," said the 32-year-old. The event was won by Knight's KTM team-mate Taddy Blazusiak. The Polish star won all three finals en-route to a commanding overall victory and now leads the championship after two rounds. | Taddy had a little too much pace for me, so I just tried to race my own race each time |
Husaberg rider Joakim Ljunggren completed the podium places and is second in the overall standings behind Blazusiak. "I'm happy to finish so close behind Taddy, he is seriously quick indoors," added Knight. "I showed my speed is where it needs to be, even though this is a one-off indoor ride for me. I always knew the seven lap finals would be tough, which they were." Knight will now return to the island to prepare for the opening round of the British Enduro Sprint Championships next weekend. In 2010, he won every single round of the Championship on his way to the overall title. .
