Lemon crashed out in heat 13 with a dislocated shoulder |
Newcastle rider Mark Lemon could miss the remainder of the 2010 season after dislocating his shoulder in Thursday's play-off defeat by Sheffield. The Diamonds were beaten 53-43 by the Tigers in their first leg tie, with Lemon claiming 10 points before being forced to retire. "He may be done for the season as it is certainly looking that way, which is a pity," said team boss George English. The Premier League play-off second leg is at Brough Park on Sunday. Lemon, 37, joined Newcastle from Newport in November 2009. Diamonds were kept in the tie thanks to the scoring of Danish pair of Rene Bach and Kenni Larsen, who contributed 14 and 12 points apiece. Tigers had captain Ricky Ashworth to thank for his 14-point haul, with Richard Hall adding 11 to the tally.
