Drury is putting doubts over the Brummies' future out of his mind |
Birmingham Brummies boss Graham Drury is hoping his side take a healthy lead from the home leg of the play-off semi-final against Newcastle. The two teams meet at Perry Barr on Wednesday, with the return in the north east on Sunday. With doubts over the future ownership of the Brummies, Drury is eager to focus on issues on the track. "There's been a lot said and written about the club in the last week, now is the time for us to focus," he said. "The boys know I'm looking for a first-leg lead to take up to Newcastle, and as far as I'm concerned I am here to work with my riders and help motivate them for what is a very big meeting." Last week temporary Brummies owner Gary Patchett announced his decision not to take up his option to buy the club from Tony Mole. It is widely expected that Mole will resume his ownership of the Perry Barr-based club for the 2011 Premier League season.
