Workington Comets progressed to the semi-finals of speedway's Premier League Knockout Cup with a 98-81 aggregate defeat of Berwick Bandits. Having lost at Berwick in the first leg, Comets responded with Sunday's 54-35 victory at Derwent Park to seal a tie against Edinburgh or King's Lynn. Comets rider Craig Cook top-scored with 14 points from his outings, while team-mate Peter Kildemand ended on 11. Berwick rider Adrian Rymel enjoyed a strong show scoring 12 points.
