Walker is driving the Liverpool FC car this season

James Walker has taken a leap up the Superleague Formula rankings after three strong races at Magny Cours.

In the weekend's first race, Walker started ninth on the grid but rose to finish in sixth place.

Race two at the French track saw Walker move through the field again, coming eighth after starting 13th.

The Jersey driver rounded his weekend off by finishing fifth in the final race, giving him an overall ranking position of 10th in the championship.

Walker said: "Overall it has been a good weekend and we need to make sure we score points at every event now."

The Jersey-born driver will take his car to Liverpool on Tuesday for the city's Pageant of Power, which will see him driving the Superleague Liverpool FC car through the city.
