Walker is driving the Liverpool FC car this season |
Jersey's James Walker has won his first Superleague points of the 2010 season at the Assen TT Track in Holland. In the first race of the weekend, Walker fought his way up to sixth place after starting 11th on the grid. The Jersey driver then repeated that feat in race two to earn a spot in the five-lap Super-Final. Saving his best until last, Walker came fourth, putting the disappointment of last month's failure to finish any races at Silverstone firmly behind him. Walker said: "It was hard work so I was delighted to finish fourth. "Compared to Silverstone these results are like night and day. "I have had a lot of dry running in the car this weekend, so I know' I'll be stronger in qualifying next time out." Walker will return to action for the third round of the Superleague season in Magny Cours, France on 22-23 May. Walker is contesting the 2010 Superleague Formula title in the Liverpool FC car.
