Walker has already won a Superleague Formula race |
Jersey's James Walker has suffered a disappointing start to the 2010 Superleague Formula season, failing to finish either of his first two races. Walker started third on the grid in the first race at Silverstone on Sunday, but spun off in wet conditions. In the second race Walker started from pole position, but a engine problem at a pit stop ended his race early. Walker said: "I will have to fight back in the next race, at the Assen circuit in Holland. "I'm disappointed, because there have been many times in my career where I have had a bad first race and then bounced back. "I've not been to Assen before so I'm looking forward to getting stuck in and getting my season underway." Walker is contesting the 2010 Superleague Formula title in the Liverpool FC car. Superleague Formula sees 750bhp racing cars run in the liveries of top football clubs. Walker has already shown he is up to the task of Superleague Formula by winning the final race of the 2008 season in the Borussia Dortmund car.
