Stoke Potters won for the first time in the Premier League in 2010 on Sunday, defeating Workington at Loomer Road. The Potters prevailed 48-42, helped by 13 points each from guest Jason Lyons and new signing Lee Smart. "I'm really pleased with my performance because I was a bit nervous at the start," Smart said. "I'm really pleased to be back here at Stoke. I've enjoyed it here when I've been here before I'm looking forward to continuing where I've left off." Lyons, who skippers fellow Premier League side Birmingham Brummies, was riding in place of the injured Jason Bunyan. Taylor Poole continued his good start to the season with 10 points for Stoke, who finished bottom of their group in the Premier Trophy earlier this season. Meanwhile, Stoke have confirmed the signing of Adam Roynon on loan from Workington.
