Holder joined Stoke Potters from Newport at the start of the season |
Australian rider James Holder has left Stoke Potters and been replaced by Lee Smart, who joins the Premier League club for the third time in his career. Holder, who arrived at Loomer Road from Newport at the start of the season, has struggled for form so far in 2010. Smart has been riding for the newly-reformed Dudley Heathens this season. "We welcome Lee back and we wish James all the best and hope that he can get fixed up quickly with another club," said Potters promoter Dave Tattum. "When we built the side over the winter we thought we had a decent young side on paper, but for one reason or another things have not worked out. "James has become the first casualty as we look to improve the side. "Malcolm Vasey [the team manager] and I both realise changes are needed here and supporters can rest assured that Lee is not the last signing for us."
