New Potters signing James Holder rode for Newport Wasps during 2009

Premier League outfit Stoke Potters have completed the signing of Australian rider James Holder for 2010.

The 23-year-old, whose younger brother Chris rides in the Elite League for Poole Pirates, joins new captain Jason Bunyan and Ricky Wells at Stoke.

Holder rode for the Isle of Wight in 2008 and then for Newport in 2009, averaging 4.43 last season.

Holder told the official website: "I would like to thank the Stoke promotion for putting their faith in me."

He added: "I intend to pay them back. And I look forward to giving the Stoke Potters supporters something to shout about next season."
