Ricky Wells joins Jason Bunyan in the Stoke Potters line-up for 2010 |
Stoke Potters have made Ricky Wells their second confirmed signing for the 2010 Premier League season. The 18-year-old, who was born in Auckland, New Zealand, rode in the Elite League for Coventry Bees in 2009. Wells nearly joined the Potters at the beginning of last season but was ruled out of the Stoke line-up after failing to meet certain regulations. Stoke promoter Dave Tattum said: "We've finally got our man. I'm delighted that he will be here next season." Wells arrives at Loomer Road having won the American Championship in 2009. "He is young, ambitious and talented. I'm sure he can improve on his starting average and I'm sure he will excite the supporters here at Stoke," added Tattum. The club have already announced that Jason Bunyan will skipper the Potters in 2010 after agreeing to stay for a second season.
