Skipper Jason Lyons led the way with 14 points as the Birmingham Brummies produced a scintillating performance to defeat Sheffield 63-25 at Perry Barr. The Brummies, who are undefeated at home this season, ended the night with their biggest margin of victory since the club's relaunch in 2007. Steve Johnston and Aaron Summers [10 points each] also contributed. Barring a heavy defeat in the second leg, Birmingham will progress to the next round of the Knockout Cup. The second leg takes place at Owlerton on Thursday, 13 May.
