Southern 100 club president Derek Nicholson is to become a Life Member of the Motorcycle organisation. Nicholson has been the club's president since 2002 and was re-elected at Wednesday's annual general meeting. He said: "I am very humbled to be proposed as a Life Member of the Southern 100 club and it is an honour to accept. "I will continue to be involved with the organising of the friendly races for many more years." Nicholson first became involved with the Billown meeting in 1974. The club are responsible for three separate meetings held on the Billown circuit, the Southern 100, the Pre TT Classic and the Post TT races.
