Pitt is seventh in the standings, one point behind Frenchman Fabien Foret |
Andrew Pitt claimed his second sixth place in a week at the penultimate round of the World Supersport Championship in France on Sunday. Pitt was fourth when a red flag stopped the race at Magny-Cours, but under FIM regulations the result is taken from the lap before when he was sixth. The Isle of Man resident said: "I'd been in a good battle and had just got past them when they stopped the race." The race was won by Joan Lascorz, with series leader Cal Crutchlow second. Pitt's Turkish team-mate Kenan Sofuoglu completed the podium. The final round will take place at Portimao in Portugal from 23 October.
