Pitt is now seventh in the overall standings |
Isle of Man-based rider Andrew Pitt finished seventh in the latest round of the World Supersport Championship at Nurburgring in Germany on Sunday. Starting from 10th on the grid, Pitt was affected by the rain in the early stages before rallying in the second half of the race. "Basically I was too cautious when it was wet and lost too much time," said the Australian. Cal Crutchlow won the race with Eugene Laverty second and Joan Lascorz third. Crutchlow now leads Laverty in the overall standings by 22 points. The next round of the series will be held at Imola over the weekend of 25 September.
