Sells win makes Manx GP history Isle of Man resident Carolynn Sells made Manx GP history on Friday when she became the first female rider to win at the event. Sells, who is the first lady to win a race on the Mountain Course, took the honours in the ultra-lightweight race. "This is the culmination of years of hard work and I am absolutely delighted, words can't express what this means to me," Sells said. Sells finished over a minute ahead of Mike Minns, with Wayne Kirwan third. The 36-year-old added: "To do it on the 20th anniversary of women being allowed to race at this event is very special." Meanwhile, Manxman Dan Sayle took the chequered flag in the lightweight class which was run at the same time. Sayle's winning margin was just 0.22 seconds over Neil Kent, while Davy Morgan completed the podium.
