Pitt is now 7th in the standings |
Isle of Man-based rider Andrew Pitt finished 10th in the latest round of the World Supersport Championship in the Czech Republic on Sunday. After struggling in qualification, Pitt started the race in 24th and, despite making a good start, was unable to press in the latter stages. Pitt said: "I suppose picking up some points was about all I could have hoped for, considering where I started. "But we are here to do more than collect a few points." Frenchman Fabien Foret took the win after series leader Cal Crutchlow retired from the lead with two laps to go around the undulating 5.4km Brno circuit. The next round will take place in Nurburgrung, Germany, on 6 September.
