King's Lynn Stars will face Birmingham Brummies in the semi-finals of the Premier League play-offs. The Stars could choose their opponents as they finished top of the table and visit the Brummies on 7 October before hosting them one week later. Stars manager Rob Lyon said he chose the Brummies because his team has a good record at Birmingham's track. "The top four teams all look like tough opponents so it was far from an easy choice," he added to the club website. The Stars had a mixed weekend of results away from home in the league. They beat Workington Comets 51-42 on Saturday and then lost by exactly the same score at Newcastle. King's Lynn lead the Premier League table by 10 points and will be crowned champions at their final home meeting against Birmingham on Wednesday. The Stars are also hoping for success in the Premier Trophy, Knock Out Cup and the play-offs.
