King's Lynn Stars were crowned 2009 Premier League champions after their closest rivals Birmingham lost at home to Edinburgh on Wednesday.
It means the Stars have won the title with three matches remaining.
Birmingham needed to avoid defeat against Edinburgh to take the title race to the weekend but they were beaten 41-49 on their home track.
The Stars have two away meetings at the weekend and will lift the cup on 23 September in front of their home fans.
The King's Lynn manager Rob Lyon was delighted to have secured the title.
"It means we can enjoy next Wednesday's meeting against Birmingham with no pressure and all the boys can have a good time," he said.
Lyon praised the team spirit at the Norfolk Arena.
"It's a team effort from promotion to management, riders, supporters, everybody plays their part," added Lyon.
King's Lynn have the chance for more silverware this season in the final of the Premier Trophy against Edinburgh and in the semi-final of the Knock Out Cup against Scunthorpe.
The Stars have said they will decide on their opponents for the promotion play-offs after this weekend's matches.
