Tinmouth made her British Supersport Championship debut this year
The only female solo competitor at the 2009 Isle of Man TT, Jenny Tinmouth, says she is relishing the challenge.
The Cheshire racer finished seventh in her debut season at the British Supersport Championships and is looking forward to her first road race.
"I'm so excited, the first few nights I've been out have been brilliant," she told BBC Isle of Man.
"I'm a little disappointed with my times so far but we had some troubles with the bike last night [Tuesday]."
She added: "I only managed to get one lap in on the Fireblade, so hopefully if everything goes to plan tonight [Wednesday], I can get three or four in."
The 30-year-old believes the time she spent with TT Liaison Officer Richard 'Milky' Quayle earlier in the year has been invaluable.
"He took me around the course in the car and pointed out every single detail," she said. "He's so enthusiastic about the TT and I can't thank him enough."
To qualify for the races, Tinmouth will have to lap the Mountain Course at 110 mph on the 600cc bike and 113 mph on the 1000cc machine.
If the Ellesmere Port racer achieves the times, her first event will be the Superbike race on Saturday.
