A depleted Ipswich Witches line-up suffered a 53-39 loss at Wolverhampton Wolves on Monday. The Witches - who were without Jarek Hampel and Tobi Kroner - employed Lakeside's Adam Shields as a guest. The Australian justified his selection by top scoring for the Suffolk side with 10+1. Wolverhampton's match-winners were the Swedish pair of Peter Karlsson and Freddie Lindgren, who won eight heats between them. The Witches' next meeting is at home to Coventry Bees on Thursday.
