Ipswich Town are close to agreeing a pre-season friendly against League Two champions Brentford at Griffin Park.
If the fixture is confirmed for Wednesday, 15 July it will be the second time in as many summers that the two sides have met.
Last year goals from Pim Balkestein and Danny Haynes handed Ipswich a 2-0 win in West London.
Since then Ipswich strikers Jordan Rhodes, Dean Bowditch and Billy Clarke have all had loan spells at Brentford.
