Left-back Matt Richards has become the latest out-of-contract Ipswich player to be told he will not be getting offered a new deal at Portman Road.
The 24-year-old met manager Roy Keane on Thursday and was told that he is not part of his plans for next season.
Richards made his debut at the age of 17 in August 2002 and is still the youngest Ipswich player to feature in a European match.
But his appearance against Cardiff last month was his first for two years.
He is the eighth player so far to be released by Keane.
The others now looking for new clubs are Ivan Campo, Tommy Miller, Billy Clarke, Dean Bowditch, Kurt Robinson, Chris Casement and Jai Reason.
Dan Harding and Liam Trotter are also out of contract, but they have yet to hold talks with Keane about their future.
