Bruce rejected terms on a new deal earlier in the season
Ipswich Town defender Alex Bruce has signed a new two-year contract.
The 24-year-old, who was out of contract this summer, rejected an offer in January but had talks with new manager Roy Keane last week.
The Republic of Ireland international has made 112 appearances since joining Ipswich in August 2006.
Keane told the club website: "He made it clear that he wanted to stay so it was down to trying to sort a deal out and I'm delighted we've achieved that."
Bruce said it was always his intention to stay at Portman Road, subject to terms being agreed.
"I never wanted to leave the club and it was always my hope that a deal could be sorted out," he said.
"It's a new regime and the owner clearly has made a statement of his ambitions for Ipswich Town by bringing in someone like Roy Keane to be manager here."
