Lindgren scored 16 points in Wolves' midweek defeat by Ipswich
Wolverhampton's Freddie Lindgren has said he is excited about his start to the season, which has seen him take an early lead in the Grand Prix series.
The Swede top-scored with 19 points on the opening night in Prague and has helped his club top the Elite League.
"I knew I was in good form, but a lot of the top boys have decided not to race in the English League this year," Lindgren, 23, told BBC WM.
"It was really nice to go out there and score so many points."

Lindgren is in his seventh season at Monmore Green, having joined the club as a teenager, and he sees them being among the candidates for this season's Elite League title.
"It's early days but we really want to be up there - we had such a poor season last year and really want to be there or thereabouts," Lindgren said.
Freddie's younger brother Ludvig is riding just across the West Midlands with Premier League side Birmingham and the Grand Prix star hopes he will also benefit from the experience of riding overseas.
"You need experience in this game and I'm gaining all the time," noted the elder sibling.
"I've been around for a while now and I'm trying all the time to progress and make things better.
"I haven't dropped many points so far in the Elite League, so I'm really pleased with my form."
And Lindgren's aspirations for the season with Wolves will be boosted by the news that teenage sensation Tai Woffinden is defying doctor's advice and insisting he will continue to ride, despite thumb and shoulder injuries suffered during the midweek loss at Ipswich.
