Three of Walsall's most experienced players - Michael Ricketts, Stephen Hughes and Paul Boertien - are being allowed to leave the Banks's Stadium.
All three, along with youngster Hassan Bacchus, are out of contract and have not been offered new deals.
Eight out-of-contract players have been offered new deals by the Saddlers.
Clayton Ince, Rene Gilmartin, Manny Smith, Netan Sansara, Sofiene Zaaboub, Jabo Ibehre, Richard Davies and Chris Palmer have been asked to stay.
