Champions Wolves celebrated the Championship title after the final whistle
By Steve Marshall at Molineux
Richard Stearman headed an injury-time winner as champions Wolves ended their campaign with victory over Doncaster.
Stearman nodded in Stephen Ward's 92nd-minute cross to put the gloss on the Molineux promotion party.
Chances had otherwise been at a premium in a tame contest, with Kevin Foley going the closest for Wolves when his first-half shot hit the post.
Doncaster's best openings both fell to James Hayter but he was denied by Jody Craddock and Wayne Hennessey.
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy: "I almost apologised on Friday for how we were going to be.
"We were lifeless compared with how we have been.
"But it was a fabulous day - and congratulations to Alex (McLeish) and Birmingham as well. To go to Reading and win like that is excellent."
Doncaster Rovers manager Sean O'Driscoll: "I thought we were the better team and dominated play.
"We did what we wanted to do but we have to score goals to win games.
"We started really well, handled the occasion and, on another day, might have made 20,000-odd Wolves fans unhappy with the way we kept their team quiet. I think we should have come off with the game won."
