Mutafaweq clinches Coronation Cup
Mutafaweq holds off Wellbeing's challenge
Mutafaweq holds off Wellbeing's challenge
Check out live coverage of the Vodafone Derby meeting on 8-9 June on BBC TV, Five Live and Sport Online.

Frankie Dettori led from start to finish to land the Coronation Cup on board Mutafaweq.

The 11/2 chance just held on from Wellbeing in an extremely close photo finish.

Dettori had taken up the fight from early on but as the horses headed into the final furlong, his lead was being gobbled up by Wellbeing and Millenary.

But he managed to stear the Goldolphin horse to victory in the 250,000 race.

Millenary, ridden by Pat Eddery, went off the 6/4 favourite but never seemed to put in a serious challenge and finished in third place, four lengths behind.

Sir Michael Stoute's filly Petrushka was extremely disappointing.

She had drifted out in the betting before the race and her race was over with more than two furlongs to go.

It was the fourth time Dettori had won the race after previous successes with Swain (1996), Singspiel (1997) and Daylami (1999).

Afterwards he jumped off the horse with a trademark leap.

He told BBC Sport: "I knew it was going to be tight so I tried to nick a couple of lengths at the turn.

"He is a tough horse who loves to battle. I knew it would be hard for anyone to get by him."
