Path to the final - New Zealand
Emily Drumm (CricInfo)
Emily Drumm: In excellent form for the host team
Match 1 v Australia - Lost by 6 wickets

Therese McGregor's four for 18 set Australia on the way to a comfortable victory as the home side were restricted to 166 for nine in their 50 overs despite 74 by Emily Drumm. Aussie skipper Belinda Clark was out for one but Karen Rolton's unbeaten 51 saw them home with 2.3 overs to spare.

Match 2 v Ireland - Won by 8 wickets

New Zealand collected their first points of the tournament with a comprehensive victory at the BIL Oval. Ireland were bowled out for 99 despite 31 from Catriona Beggs and Paula Flannery batted through the home side's reply to reach 49 not out as they passed their target in only the 25th over.

Match 3 v Sri Lanka - Won by 122 runs

Haidee Tiffin (CricInfo)
Haidee Tiffin: An excellent all-round effort

Veteran Debbie Hockley reverted to her former role as opening bat against Sri Lanka but was out for 18 as New Zealand were reduced to 27 for two. That was the high point of the game for their opponents as Anna O'Leary (91 not out) and Haidee Tiffin (58) carried the Clear White Ferns to 210 for four. Tiffin then picked up two wickets as a disciplined bowling performance saw Sri Lanka dismissed for just 88.

Match 4 v Netherlands - Won by 8 wickets

Catherine Campbell achieved the notable figures of 10 overs, seven maidens, nought for three but the wickets were shared out among the rest of the bowling attack as the Dutch mustered just 80 all out in 48 overs. New Zealand were in no mood to hang about and Flannery's unbeaten 39 helped them home in 16.3 overs.

Match 5 v India - Won by 74 runs

The hosts reverted to their strongest batting line-up against a highly committed Indian side and O'Leary batted through the innings until she was out to the penultimate ball for 89. Hockley and Tiffin weighed in with fifties to leave India requiring 225 to win. Chandrakanta Kaul made 59 not out but they never recovered from the loss of early wickets and fell well short on 150 for seven.

Match 6 v South Africa - Won by 158 runs

Skipper Emily Drumm led by example with a score of 108 not out as New Zealand registered a surprisingly comfortable win. She made her runs off only 104 balls and Haidee Tiffin provided a final flourish with a quickfire 35 as they totalled 265 for five. Katrin Keenen dismissed both South African openers for ducks as they slumped to five for three and Cindy Eksteen's 47 not out could not prevent her side from being bowled out for just 107.

Match 7 v England - Won by 93 runs

Rebecca Rolls
Rebecca Rolls stumps England's Sarah Collyer

The Kiwis had beaten England 3-0 in pre-tournament warm-up matches, so another win came as no surprise after Rebecca Rolls (65) and Drumm (53) had led them to 238 for eight. England's batting frailties were exposed again and although six players reached double figures, none of them were able to go on to make a major score. Arran Thompson's 27 was the best effort as they were dismissed for 145 in the 48th over.

Semi-final v India - Won by 9 wickets

India's batting let them down on the big occasion with the notable exception of opener Purnima Rao who made an unbeaten 67 in a sorry total of 117 all out. She finally ran out of partners in the 46th over after facing 133 balls and hitting four fours. The task was a formality and O'Leary (50) and Drumm (47) steered New Zealand to victory after Rolls had been caught for 23.
