Path to the final - Australia
Karen Rolton
Karen Rolton: Two centuries and an average of 196.00
Match 1 v New Zealand - Won by 6 wickets

Therese McGregor's four for 18 set Australia on the way to a comfortable victory as the home side were restricted to 166 for nine in their 50 overs despite 74 by Emily Drumm. Aussie skipper Belinda Clark was out for one but Karen Rolton's unbeaten 51 saw them home with 2.3 overs to spare.

Match 2 v Sri Lanka - Won by 200 runs

Australia cruised to an easy victory after piling up 282 for three, thanks to Rolton's magnificent innings of 154. She faced only 118 deliveries and struck 19 fours, sharing century stands with Lisa Keightley (56) and Olivia Magno. Only three Sri Lankans reached double figures as they were all out for 82, with off-spinner Avril Fahey claiming three for 11.

Match 3 v Ireland - Won by 10 wickets

Zoe Goss
Goss: To much for Ireland

Ireland's batsmen were unable to cope with the accuracy and variety of the Australian attack. Zoe Goss took four for 10 to leave the favourites with the formality of scoring just 91 for victory. Openers Keightley (49) and Clark (40) did the job in only 20.3 overs.

Match 4 v India - Won by 51 runs

Australia were made to work hard for their runs by a determined Indian side but still reached 223 for five with the in-form pair of Keightley (74) and Rolton (61) putting on 110 for the second wicket. India were 114 for one in reply but three wickets by McGregor and Charmaine Mason's two for 22 snuffed out any hopes of an upset.

Match 5 v England - Won by 54 runs

Cathryn Fitzpatrick
Fitzpatrick: The spearhead of Australia's attack

The Aussies looked vulnerable at Lincoln Green as Clare Taylor riupped out Clark, Keightley and Rolton with only 35 on the board. But the supporting cast came to the rescue with Goss (41) and Magno (32) seeing them to a score of 190 for seven. England made a dreadful start as Charlotte Edwards fell to Cathryn Fitzpatrick's second ball. Claire Taylor fought hard for 45 but Fitzpatrick, Mason and Fahey took three wickets each as they were all out for 136.

Match 6 v South Africa - Won by 9 wickets

The batting of Rolton again took centre stage as Australia made it six wins out of six. They restricted South Africa to 169 for eight despite a stand of 84 between Anina Burger (44) and Cindy Eksteen (46) and then knocked off the runs in 25 overs. Clark was content to keep her end up as Rolton smashed an unbeaten 107 off just 67 balls, including 17 fours - the fastest century ever in a one-day international.

Match 7 v Netherlands - Won by 10 wickets

Belinda Clark and Lisa Keightley
Clark and Keightley: A successful opening pair

Australia warmed up for the semi-finals by outclassing a gallant Dutch side, which failed to pick up a single point in the competition. Mason set things off by bowling seven overs for figures of one for five and Fahey picked up three for 19 as the Netherlands focused on surviving the full 50 overs. A score of 107 for seven was never likely to trouble Australia, with Keightley (51) and Clark (48) again underlining their quality as an opening pair.

Semi-final v South Africa - Won by 9 wickets

South Africa adopted the audacious approach of trying to attack pace bowler Fitzpatrick but ultimately the result was the same as the group meeting between the teams. Linda Olivier's patient 41 was the cornerstone of their innings, which saw them reach 180 for eight. But Keightley and Clark continued where they had left off against the Netherlands, putting on 170 before Clark was out for 75. Keightley, however, stayed to the end to finish with 91 not out.
