Guernsey have beaten Jersey in the inter insular at La Moye golf club for only the second time in their history.

Guernsey comfortably won the foursomes, before Jersey came back strongly in the fourball matches to level the score at 5-5 going into the 10 singles matches.

Jersey took an early advantage in the singles, and were leading by one point ahead of the final two games.

But Guernsey fought back, and wins for Steve Mahy and James Hamon saw them claim them title by 10.5 to 9.5.
