Barham confident of keeping card

Barham admits he has struggled to focus since his daughter's birth

Kent's top golfer Benn Barham remains confident he can hold onto his card on the European Tour, despite a disappointing season so far.

With 10 events left, the Ashford pro, is 189th on the European Order of Merit, with the top 115 guaranteed cards for next year.

"I'm hopeful that I'll have a couple of decent events and get the confidence back," Barham, 33, told BBC Radio Kent.

"I can tell people are getting slightly worried for me."

Barham added: "I'm focused on the job in hand.

"I've got to carry on playing one tournament at a time and see how I go."

Barham achieved his best European Tour results last season - finishing third at the European Open and fourth at the Welsh Open at Celtic Manor.

But he has failed to build on that this season, admitting he has found it difficult to focus on his game since the birth of his first child in December.
