Ashford golfer Benn Barham achieved his highest-ever finish on the European Tour, coming joint fourth at the Wales Open at Celtic Manor. Barham, 32, finished on 13 under - nine behind winner Scott Strange. After missing five consecutive cuts, Barham said his improvement was partly down to his new psychologist. "I felt different - different approach, hitting the ball differently and Andy Duncan - my psychologist and life coach - has given me a new perspective." He continued: "I wouldn't say I'd started to panic as I knew I've got the game - and I found it this week." The result moves Barham up to 104th in the order of merit. His previous highest placing on the European Tour was fifth at the 2006 Scottish Open at Loch Lomond.
