Colin Montgomerie will defend his European Open title in Kent |
The European Open returns to England for the first time since 1994 when the London Golf Club in Kent hosts the tournament in July. For the past three years the London Seniors Masters has been held at the course, but this is the first time it has held a tournament on the main tour.
The club's General Manager Heath Harvey told BBC Radio Kent "I'm delighted, it's been a long time coming."
The tournament will take place on the Club's Heritage Course from 3 July.
The last 13 Championships have been held at the K Club in Ireland which also hosted the Ryder Cup in 2006.
Eight-time European Tour Order of Merit winner, Scotland's Colin Montgomerie, will be looking to defend his title.
