Ashford golfer Ben Barham believes he can win his first tournament on the European Tour this year.

The 32-year-old, whose best finish this season was fourth in Wales, has been up among the leaders on the final day several times before dropping away.

"I've been in that position a few times at the top of the leaderboard and I'm definitely feeling more comfortable with it," Barham told BBC Radio Kent

"It is frustrating. But I feel I can win a tournament certainly this year."

He added: "I think the more you put yourself in that position the easier it becomes.

"If it's my weekend, putts start to drop and then I think I'll come out as a winner."

Barham is playing in the Russian Open this week.
