Barham not fazed by poor results

Barham admits he has struggled to focus since his daughter's birth

Kent golfer Benn Barham is confident his form on the European Tour will improve as the summer approaches.

The 33-year-old from Ashford goes into this week's Spanish Open having made just one cut from his first six tournaments of the season.

Barham told BBC Radio Kent: "We're just coming into the springtime now and historically I've not played my best golf until spring/summer.

"So I am really looking forward to a decent summer."

Barham achieved his best European Tour results last season - finishing third at the European Open and fourth at the Welsh Open at Celtic Manor.

But he has failed to build on that this season, admitting he has found it difficult to focus on his game since the birth of his first child in December.
