Lincoln Ladies manager Rod Wilson has confirmed that the club have signed striker Emma Kete.
The 23-year-old forward is in the New Zealand squad at the Women's World Cup in Germany and also played at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
Lincoln boss Rod Wilson told BBC Lincolnshire: "She got in touch with us through an English player and we looked at DVD's and realised she was good.
"We then made contact and came over to see her and signed her."
The Ladyimps are also interested in three other New Zealand players - a full-back, a midfielder and a striker but no formal deals have yet been announced.
