York City consider Greg Young recall after McGurk blow
McGurk signed a new two-year contract in March
York City manager Gary Mills is considering recalling centre-back Greg Young from his loan spell at Altrincham as cover for the injured David McGurk.
The 28-year-old damaged ankle ligaments in the win over Newport and looks set to miss the remainder of the season.
Mills told BBC Radio York: "Altrincham are away at Fleetwood this Saturday and I don't want to weaken Altrincham.
"After Saturday if I decide to do that then I can but we'll just have to see how we go."
Mills added that there is an outside chance of McGurk being fit if York reach the Blue Square Bet Premier play-offs, but that it was doubtful.
To lose him is a big blow, make no mistake about that but I'm not going to lose sleep over it, its gone now

He went on: "It's a big blow with the amount of games coming up. The intensity and the amount of players we might need to get us through those games, we certainly don't want to lose a defender in David McGurk.
"But the other defenders have been superb. Not many teams come and score goals against us.
"To lose him is a big blow, make no mistake about that, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it, it's gone now.
"To have him in the dressing room and sitting in the stand there again, being around us, is still worth his weight in gold."
