West Brom boss Roberto Di Matteo will have to wait on the fitness of full-back Gianni Zuiverloon as Albion prepare for Monday's game at Newcastle.
The Dutchman damaged his ankle in a challenge with Nottingham Forest midfielder Paul McKenna last week.
Winger Chris Brunt has also missed training because of a virus but should be fit in time for the promotion clash.
Di Matteo has threatened to make changes for the top-of-the-table clash after their 3-1 home defeat by Forest.
French midfielder Youssuf Mulumbu could be in line for a recall if Chilean international Gonzalo Jara moves back to cover for Zuiverloon.
