| Wednesday, 12 February, 2003, 12:34 GMT Robinson earns extended stay Tranmere Rovers have rewarded promising striker Andy Robinson with a contract until the end of the season. Robinson has been a regular scorer in the reserves since being given the chance to step up from non-league football with Cammell Laird by Rovers boss Ray Matthias. The 23-year-old has made one first-team appearance, as a substitute in the LDV Vans Trophy, and will now have until the summer to try and land a permanent deal with the Wirral club. Meanwhile, defender Kevin Gray will make his return for the reserves on Wednesday after being out of action since November due to a pelvic problem. Manager Ray Mathias said: "Kevin will definitely start for the reserves and it will be nice to see him back." Andy Parkinson and Jason Price will also be named in the starting line-up at Burnley as they continue on the road back to full fitness following ankle injuries. |
