Buckle says he has faith in his strikers to start hitting the back of the net
Torquay manager Paul Buckle is frustrated at his side's lack of goals after their 2-0 defeat to Weymouth.
Buckle's men have failed to score in three of their last five games and once again failed to hit the net on Tuesday.
"It's frustrating," admitted Buckle to BBC Radio Devon after the defeat to their nearest rivals at Plainmoor.
"Tim Sills is a top striker at our level. Iyesden Christie, Matt Green and Elliot Benyon are the guys brought in to score the goals and they will."
Torquay missed a host of chances to equalise after Ryan Williams had given the Terras the lead in first-half stoppage time.
Buckle added: "I trust the forwards I've got and I trust the players I've got. I feel that if we can get the first goal in a game we'll always push on, in the last few games we created the chances, we just haven't scored the goals.
"We need to put one away to then push forward, but all the time that we're not putting the ball in the back of the net, and especially if we're letting one in on the counter-attack, it puts you under pressure."
On a positive note Buckle was impressed with the way Christie played on his debut.
The 32-year-old, who joined Torquay late last month, held the ball up well and had a couple of chances.
"I thought Iyesden was great. He brought people into play, he was intelligent and he'll only get better for us," said Buckle.
