Torquay United striker Iyseden Christie is confident he will be able to secure a long-term deal at Plainmoor.
Manager Paul Buckle signed the 32-year-old from Stevenage Borough until the end of the season last week.
"I didn't need to impress the manager for him to come and get me," Christie told BBC Radio Devon.
"He knows what I can do and if I can maintain that I don't really think it's going to be a problem with him offering me a deal."
The Gulls have scored just five goals in their last seven games, a statistic Christie is confident he can turn around.

"I've been playing a long time and managed to carry on playing so I'm fairly good at what I do so hopefully I can score here," he said.
"It a matter of showing what I can do, I think as long as I do what I can hopefully it'll be a long stay for me."
