McClenahan has represented Australia at Under-20 and Under-23 level

Scunthorpe United defender Trent McClenahan has left the club after his short-term contract expired.

He joined the Iron from Hamilton Academical in August but found first-team chances hard to come by.

"I want to play and I've not been doing that here[at Glanford Park]. I'll speak to my agent to see what the future holds for me," the 25-year-old said.

The Australian featured only once, as a substitute in the 3-2 defeat to Derby, for the Championship side.
