Boston United have signed defender Rory Coleman on a month's loan from Championship side Scunthorpe United.

The left-back could make his Pilgrims debut in their Blue Square Bet North match at home to Hinckley on Tuesday.

Boston originally tried to sign the 20-year-old in November but the move fell through because of illness.

Joint-manager Paul Hurst said: "Rory can play at left-back or further forward on the left so he will increase our options in both positions."

Coleman, who has yet to make a first team appearance for the Iron, scored seven goals in 12 appearances while on loan at Boston's league rivals Harrogate Town last season.
