Salisbury boss Nick Holmes was impressed by trialist Hill

Salisbury boss Nick Holmes has completed the signing of Gillingham midfielder Rory Hill on loan until the January transfer window.

The 18-year-old had been back on trial with the Whites last week and scored in the 4-1 behind-closed-doors friendly win over Bournemouth.

He previously played for the Whites on trial in October and featured in a 5-2 reserve-team defeat by Bristol City.

The youngster made his Whites debut in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Northwich.

The midfielder turned professional with Gillingham at the start of the season.
