Nick Holmes' side had lost seven in a row before turning things round
Salisbury City boss Nick Holmes was pleased to see his side claim their first back-to-back wins since August.
Striker Robbie Matthews scored the only goal early on in Tuesday night's 1-0 Setanta Shield win over Bath City.
Holmes told BBC Radio Wiltshire: "It was important we kept the momentum going. We had a very good first half.
"It's always difficult to keep that going for 90 minutes. It was a bit disappointing to step off the gas a bit in the second half."
The Whites returned to winning ways last Thursday night with a 2-0 win at home to high-flying Crawley, ending their run of seven straight defeats.
They now head for fellow strugglers Mansfield Town, who are five places below them in the table in 19th, at Field Mill on Saturday.
As for their progress in the Setanta Shield, Salisbury now face a fourth round clash against the winners of the delayed third-round tie between Woking and Bognor Regis Town.
