Rotherham United have signed Bury defender Tom Newey on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old from Sheffield, who spent four season at Grimsby Town, has agreed a two-year contract after turning down a new deal at Gigg Lane.
Chief operating officer Paul Douglas told the Millers website: "Tom is a quality player who [manager] Ronnie Moore has admired for some time.
"We believe will provide some serious competition for Jamie Green in the left back position."
