Keeper Wayne Brown has been released by Bury along with defender Paul Scott and midfielder Richie Baker.
Brown, 33, was at Gigg Lane for two seasons before losing the first team spot to Cameron Belford, one of eight players offered new deals.
Ryan Cresswell, Andy Morrell, Efe Sodje, Brian Barry-Murphy, David Buchanan, Tom Newey and Stephen Dawson have also been handed new offers.
Danny Racchi, Damian Allen and Josh Rothwell have been let go.
