Reading have signed Blackburn Rovers defender Zurab Khizanishvili until the end of the season.
The 28-year-old Georgia international is captain of his country, with nearly 70 caps, and has both Champions League and UEFA Cup experience.
He specialises at the back but he can also play a holding midfield role.
He began his career in Tblisi before moving to Dundee in 2001 and then onto Rangers from where he was signed by former Blackburn boss Mark Hughes.
Khizanishvili has already been on loan at Newcastle United this season as well as featuring for Rovers in the Carling and FA Cup competitions.
